Detailed Laser Image Transfer Samples

The first 3 shown are only 1.25" in width in reality. The first and third are done on ivory micarta and the second on stablized wood. These images were taken from scans and clip art. The possibilities for this process are truly endless. I only have a B&W laser printer on hand. Color images can be transferred just as well. Color samples are shown on the transfer page. For reproducing scrimshaw on to micarta this process works wonderfully. The sample to the right is from a piece of my original pen and ink artwork that has been trasferred to a nice piece of curly maple that is about 1" x 4". Also shown is a pen & ink drawing of a dragon head - 1" x 2" on curly maple. These two images are my original artwork. Shown at the bottom of the page are two handles of Japanese knives with dragons. This process can be used with most standard heat transfer presses as well. Using laser printed images on standard paper will not provide the quality of the images shown below.
