Transfer Samples
The first 3 shown are only 1.25" in width in reality. The first and third are
done on ivory micarta and the second on stablized wood. These images
were taken from scans and clip art. The possibilities for this process are
truly endless. I only have a B&W laser printer on hand. Color images can
be transferred just as well. Color samples are shown on the transfer page.
For reproducing scrimshaw on to micarta this process works wonderfully.
The sample to the right is from a piece of my original pen and ink artwork
that has been trasferred to a nice piece of curly maple that is about 1" x 4".
Also shown is a pen & ink drawing of a dragon head - 1" x 2" on curly maple.
These two images are my original artwork. Shown at the bottom of the page
are two handles of Japanese knives with dragons. This process can be used
with most standard heat transfer presses as well. Using laser printed images
on standard paper will not provide the quality of the images shown below.
